
Ingredients:
1 lb. ground beef, italian sausage, pork, venison--whatever you prefer
1 large onion, diced
3 cloves of garlic, minced
1/2 tsp dried basil
1/2 tsp dried oregano
1 - 6 oz. can of tomato paste
1 - 28 oz. can of crushed tomatoes
2-3 cups of broth, or water is fine
1 TBSP chopped fresh parsley
In a large skillet, begin to brown your ground meat and add your onion. Cook until onions are translucent, then add your garlic and stir until fragrant. Add in your dried herbs and stir. Add in your tomato paste and stir until it is well mixed into the meat. Add in the crushed tomatoes and water or broth and stir well, turn your heat to a low simmer and put the lid on your skillet. Cook on low for 20-30 mins, stirring occassionally. Add in your fresh parlsley and stir, and cook for a few more mins. Serve over your favorite paste and top with freshly grated parmeseam cheese.
