Ingredients:
1 family size bag of fresh or frozen tortellini pasta
4-6 cups of fresh kale
1 lb. Italian sausage or ground beef
1 28oz. can of crushed tomatoes
1 small onion, diced
2-3 cloves of garlic, minced
2 tsp Italian seasoning
32 oz. Chicken stock
Splash of heavy cream
Freshly grated parmesan cheese
Directions:
Brown your meat in a large stock pot or dutch oven. Add in your onion and garlic until fragrant. Sprinkle in your Italian seasoning and stir. Add in the crushed tomatoes and chicken stock and top off with several cups of water. Add salt as needed. Bring to a simmer, add the kale, and put the lid on for 10-20 mins, stirring occasionally. Once you’re close to ready to serve, add your tortellini and cook to the directions. Add a splash of heavy cream and bowl it up- top with some freshly grated Parmesan cheese and enjoy!
